Founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, the Nike brand is almost synonymous with sneaker culture. As the company behind revolutionary styles like the Air Max series, Air Force 1's and the Cortez, their arsenal of Swoosh adorned footwear is so vast, that their logo is now one of the most recognisable symbols on the planet.
Released in 1990 as its name would imply, the Air Max 90 effectively became Nike’s second flagship sneaker after the Air Max 1. It was designed by architect Tinker Hatfield, the man behind Jordan and the Air Max, whose initial design idea turned into the original “Infrared” colourway. A colour scheme considered to be the most popular and the most legendary of Nike releases. This colour blocking option then went on to be the blueprint for future Air Max 90 releases, which have garnered their own dedicated followings.
This womens pair of the Air Max 90 comes in this white and particle grey colour way with rose and black accents throughout.
Made in Vietnam.
